Philip M. Hines is a founding member of Held & Hines, LLP. Mr. Hines devotes a large portion of his practice to defending civil rights and advocating for prisoner’s rights and the rights of the wrongfully convicted, having successfully obtained compensation for scores of victims of sexual abuse, excessive force, religious discrimination, false arrest, false imprisonment, malicious prosecution, police harassment, and denial of medical care.
Eliot Gonshorek grew up in Coney Island, Brooklyn and has been a licensed attorney in both New York and Connecticut for 35 years.
He spent the first 10 years of his legal career practicing law in the areas of commercial litigation, personal injury law, real estate transactions, and in both Family Law and Matrimonial litigation, while working at a mid-sized general practice law firm located in Garden City, New York.
Sherry Danzig is a music attorney and former artist manager with over 15 years of industry experience. In 2005, Sherry began her legal career at the William Morris Agency, one of the top talent agencies in the world. As a business affairs executive, Sherry was a lawyer for the music and personal appearance department working on transactions globally across all of the agency’s offices (Beverly Hills, New York City, Nashville, London, and Sydney). Sherry remained at the agency for 10 years, including through its merger with Endeavor (renaming the agency “WME”) and then WME|IMG.
Edward S. Miller has had extensive practice in real estate law for the past 33 years. His areas of practice include residential and commercial real estate, REO’s and foreclosures, coops and condominiums, as well as both residential and commercial financing. Edward is adept in representing both the seasoned investor and the first time home buyer. He is well versed in all aspects of the drafting of real estate contracts, mortgages and notes, and leases as well. He is also experienced in the drafting of estate planning documents, including wills, living wills, health care proxies and powers of attorney.
Uri is a passionate lawyer with diverse legal experience across many practice areas. Uri began his legal career focusing on education and disability law. Uri has represented New Orleans public school students in expulsion hearings, as well as D.C. public charter schools, and has continuously sought to eliminate discrimination in public schools while advocating for students with disabilities. Uri also worked as an associate for two different small firms, and then as a solo-practitioner, representing clients in civil rights, employment, wrongful death, fraud, and breach of contract cases in state and federal court.
